Just another person but uniquely me

I have loved writing since I was a young teenager. Escaping into stories and creating characters just seems natural to me. When I’m in the groove, the words just come out and the pages fill. It is a gratifying feeling like none other. My writing career truly started when I was reading some Star Trek fanfic online one day and commented to my girlfriend that the writing was crap and I could write better than that. Her response was “do it.” So I did. I wrote some Star Trek fanfic, then found Xena: Warrior Princess stories. I was hooked. I wrote several of those before being approached by a German publisher who encouraged me to move away from fanfic and start writing my own stories. It has been a long, sometimes frustrating, but immensively rewarding journey. I have dealt with an unscrupulous publisher, a writer’s block that held on and would not let go, people close to me actively pushing for me to give up being an author, struggling with my addictions, and through it all the gentle encouragement of readers helped me emerge renewed and with a sense of purpose that will not wane. My hobbies include collecting crystals (I am partial to pyramids and rose quartz), genealogy, and trivia. I love learning new things and all the research for the Eras of Love series is a welcome labor of love. Anyone who is friends with me on Facebook knows that I adore my cats, both rescues, and taking care of my special brother. As far as I’m concerned, life is good and I am right where I’m supposed to be at this point in my life. Thanks for being part of this journey. Angels bless you and may positive energy flow to you. BL
